Would you know what to do if you saw a person in need of first aid?

Having a good understanding of emergency first aid is incredibly important for the safety of everyone and it could mean the difference between life and death.

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work(RQF) qualification has been designed in-line with the current guidelines & requirements and is ideal for anyone who wants to learn a basic foundation of First Aid.

Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the emergency first-aider, and will be equipped with the skills needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, such as performing CPR and controlling external bleeding.

The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first-aider:

  • Assessing an emergency situation

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Recovery Position

  • CPR and defibrillation

  • Choking

  • Minor Injuries

  • Bites and Stings

  • Seizures

  • External Bleeding

  • Hypovolaemic shock

All workplaces require a First Aider on site under Health & Safety legislation.

This qualification is only for those aged 14+

*Please note:

This is a 1 day regulated qualification which includes a multichoice assessment at the end of the day. The hours are: 9:30-17:30. You must be able to stay for the whole day & complete the assessment or you will not be able to pass the requirements for gaining this qualification. This is a very active day with lots of moving around and observational assessments. Please ensure you only sign up to this course if you are able to move around sufficiently and get down to floor level.

(Adaptations can be made with the full understanding that you will need to get down to floor level if a real-life incident occurs, in which you are required to administer CPR).
